ULEAD VideoStudio9 Review:

Video Editing Made Easy

by Mary McClure

I found this ULEAD Video Studio 9 detailed, but not to the point that I couldn't understand it and being a beginner in making DVD's and Videos, that is important to me !

VideoStudio follows a step by step direction that really lets you capture, edit and then share your video with ease. There are more than 100 transition effects and simple soundtrack creations. From a camcorder, you can capture the footage then trim it up to what you want by arranging their order, adding overlays, applying transitions, doing voiceover narration and putting in background music.

This program makes it fun because you don't have to be a computer genius to use it! There are Digital Videos that you can practice with that I really liked! The program has an Auto-run feature that automatically starts up the installation. Just insert the VideoStudio CD into your drive and follow the simple directions.

When you run the program, a startup screen appears which gives you a choice of video editing:
DV to DVD Wizard—Allows you to capture video, add a theme template to it and then burn it to a disc.
VideoStudio Movie WizardThis is great for users who are new to video editing. It  shows you how to do the movie production process in 3 easy steps.
VideoStudio EditorThis gives the full editing features of VideoStudio. You have total control  over adding clips, titles, effects, overlays and music to make your own great movie!!
In the back of the book there is an Appendix that tells you what all the menus are and anything and everything else that shows up and then a Shortcut Appendix for those that are a little bit more skilled!!

This program is compatible with All Camcorders and All Burners.

The system requirements are:
Intel Pentium 3 800 MHz or higher
Microsoft Windows 98 SE, 2000, ME or XP
256 MB of Ram(512 MB or higher recommended)
12 GB+ hard drive space for videio capture and editing
Windows compatible display with 1024 X 768 resolution
Windows compatible sound card

VideoStudio  retails for about $100.00 and is the Best Choice in  Smart Computing Magazine,  June Issue.
Great Program ---- I recommend it to anyone ---- beginner to Professional! For more information visit the ULEAD website.
