Jane Moyer who has a genealogy publishing company and recently presented a program on genealogy resources on the Internet at a MUG meeting has recommended the following places to aid you in your research.


The Mormon Church Website



Ellis Island records from 1892-1924



Ancestry.com, a subscription website, but has a free 10 day trial.



Genealogy.com, a subscription website, has a free 14 day trial.


Canadian Genealogy Centre

Cyndi's List, More than 250,000 links to resources on the Internet



The Worldgenweb Project, a volunteer website that allows you to go to each individual county in each state, in each country. Information listed on these pages can vary from site to site.

Heritage Quest — This site is listed because of a question of censuses records being available for viewing without a subscription fee. "Has a 1930 Census Microfilm Locator that lists every roll of microfilm in the 1930 census. It is not a family or individual name index or a digital version of the microfilm. It is a searchable online database that will help users located which roll(s) of microfilm they need to consult."
